Update to vReveal Will Stabilize, Clean Consumer-generated HD Videos
with New, Advanced Algorithms

LAS VEGAS, NV, January 8, 2010 – MotionDSP, Inc. announced today that at CES 2010, it will demonstrate a soon-to-be released software update that will expand vReveal’s® powerful consumer video enhancement capabilities to high-definition (HD) videos. With the update, vReveal users will be able to fix shaky, dark, and grainy HD videos. MotionDSP will be demonstrating the HD update to vReveal at NVIDIA’s® CES booth, South Hall 4, #35912. The HD update, which will be free to all registered vReveal customers, is scheduled to be available for download in 1Q 2010.

With today’s more affordably-priced HD camcorders, a growing number of vReveal customers have been asking for an update to vReveal that can enhance HD video, as even video from high-quality HD cameras can suffer from image quality issues.Without a tripod, video from any handheld camera will shake, even videos from high-quality HD cameras. And regardless of the camera used, video captured under less-than-ideal lighting conditions can produce dark, grainy videos that users detract from the content.

When updated, vReveal will fix these problems and more for videos up to a resolution of 1080p, which includes the popular 720p and 1080i resolutions.

“Our users capturing HD video content have been clamoring for a solution to video shake and noise,” said Mike Sonders, Director of Product at MotionDSP. “The vReveal team is pleased to be putting the finishing touches on significant advancements to our patented super-resolution algorithms that will make it very easy to effectively address these video problems.”

As with the current version, the updated vReveal will be able to optionally leverage a CUDA-enabled NVIDIA graphics processor (GPU) to increase the processing speed of its computationally-intensive super-resolution enhancements.

“Using features enabled in updated versions of the CUDA architecture, such as easier access to interpolation using CUDA textures, we have been able to dramatically improve enhancement processing speed,” said Nikola Bozinovic, Vice President of Engineering at MotionDSP.
